Still off grid, no grid tie. Everything installed works very well. Ample power for our home and hot water. The air conditioner is powered by splitting the grid power through a 20 amp fused disconnect directly to the unit. I estimate another $25,000 would need to be invested to run the central air with off grid RE power. I plan to install this when I can. The system will handle the extra demand well, just need more generation and more batteries. I had to switch to grid for one night on the cusp of the month change because of three days of no sun, but just overnight. In the morning I could switch back with the morning sunshine. I expected almost no turbine power generation this time of year. The seasons will change soon enough.

8/11 19:40 PV production 18.64 KWh. Turbine production checked and reset but charging right now, 3.25 KWh. It was nice to wake up to a significant turbine charge boost overnight. Up 2.5 kwh at 6:00.

8/13 PV production 13 KWh. Turbine production 0.01 KWh.
8/14 PV production 17.34 KWh. Turbine production 0.16 KWh. I am fly wheeling the thermal mass now for two days with good results. It is only about 80 F. during the day and 60 F. at night. I am opening the windows downstairs and the skylight in the 13 foot ceiling in the office and allowing the evening and nighttime cool air to cool down the stonework inside. Then close up in the morning and coasting through the day keeping the house below 73 F. in the afternoon without running the air conditioner at all. And that's 73 F. upstairs. Fresh air in the house each night too.
8/15 PV production 6.08 KWh. Turbine production 0.10 KWh. There should be ample power to make it through till tomorrow morning and good sun is expected.
8/16 PV production 22.1 KWh. Turbine production 1.14 KWh. Some morning turbine generation helps boost the power before Sol wakes up.
8/17 PV production 19 KWh. Turbine production 0.04 KWh. The water heater lost connection today and faulted the tank thermostat which turns off the pump which boils the water in the collector which releases the pressure in the system. This happens too often, Don't buy a Thermomax SMT 100. There is no reason this stuff should have faulty connections when brand new!!!
8/18 PV production 14.1 KWh. Turbine production 0.01 KWh. The water heater controller PLC is jammed in again with the stick and working for now.
8/19 PV production 16.71 KWh. Turbine production 0.84 KWh.
8/20 PV production 1.34 KWh. Turbine production 1.88 KWh. Turbine up 1.88 KWh over night. I switched to grid power at noon. No need to push the batteries.
8/21 PV production 6.05 KWh. Turbine production 0.98 KWh. Turbine up 0.92 over night. I like it when the system charges in the dark! Out of solar hot water in morning and switched to electric hot water at 16:00 hours.
8/22 PV production 6 KWh. Turbine production 0.48 KWh. Switched back to RE power at 10:02. Switched to solar hot water too. The tank is only 33 C., but it may start heating soon. It got to a comfortable 40 C. This was the longest connection to grid power, 46 hours, since I installed the 900 Ah battery bank, but the batteries never went below 65% full, and that was really the morning of 8/23, after coffee and toast, before the sun was up.
8/23 PV production 17.14 KWh. Turbine production 0.04 KWh. Water at 56C. The Water heater control seems to have proper connections for now.
8/24 PV production 13 KWh. Turbine production 0.44 KWh. Water at 44C.
8/25 PV production 19.2 KWh. Turbine production 3.59 KWh. Water at 61C. Gross PV 2,614.83 KWh. Gross turbine 28 KWh. The turbine production spans 7 weeks, since we replaced the charge card.
8/26 PV production 15 KWh. Turbine production 1.88 KWh. Water at 61C.
8/27 through 8/31 I was at a renewable energy meeting in Switzerland. Returned 9/2. The electric system and hot water operated flawlessly without any intervention while I was away. Go to September to see the total outputs during this time.
