Grid tie installation in Puxico MO. BACK TO OTHER INSTALLATIONS HOME PAGE
Hadley Sawmill supplied the equipment and consulting to help the owners son, an HVAC business owner, install and meet requirements to pass inspection and grid tie this SB 8000 US inverter loaded with 9 KW Eoplly 230 watt solar panels in 3 strings of 13 for 39 total panels. Hadley Sawmill completed the wiring for grid connection. The owner installed the solar panels to save labor costs. I consider this project a learning experience on how to let the customer take part in the construction of their project to save cost. I think I let them have to much free leave to change designs. Don't get me wrong, the system is performing great. It's that the panels have no air flow between them the racking structure, all stainless steel fasteners were not used and there is no way to retighten and recheck things like ground lay in lugs which are fastened to panel frames with screws that have a short lifespan in outdoor unprotected environments.
